The miracles in the Bible by Jesus are among the most astonishing. They exhibit his mighty power and allow you to know he is truly the God who can do it all.

Some might say that Jesus performed impossible miracles in the Bible. But nothing is impossible for him—he is a miracle worker.

The miracles of Jesus include bringing back people from the dead (John 11:38-44). He fed the hungry when he multiplied the fish (Matthew 14:13-21). You can even see that Jesus healed sick people:

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” (Matthew 4:23, NIV)

These are just some of the examples of miracles in the Bible by Jesus. These miracles Jesus performed in the Bible show you that he can do it for you too, even when things feel so impossible.

1. Jesus Turns Water Into Wine

In John 2:1-11, you can read about the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine. This was the first miracle of Jesus you can see in the New Testament.

This miracle of Jesus can remind you that Jesus is in the details of your circumstance, and is working it out. He can turn things around for you in an instant.

“When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, ‘They have no more wine.’” (John 2:3, NIV)

Jesus answered his mother’s request to help. He hears your prayers too, and he can do the same for you. Trust his power and that he hears your requests.

2. Jesus Calms the Storm

In your difficult circumstance right now, remember the story of Jesus miraculously calming the storm in Mark 4:35-41. Jesus reminded the disciples that they didn’t have to be afraid.

“He said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’” (Mark 4:40, NIV)

Neither do you have to be scared. Jesus will give you peace and can do the impossible for you. He will calm your storm and work things out for your good, even if it doesn’t look that way.

3. Jesus Heals a Blind Man

When you keep seeing things get worse and worse, recall the miracle of Jesus in the Bible in John 9:1-12 when he healed the blind man. It will allow you to remember that he can truly do all things—the most impossible things. Jesus’s miracle for you might look different than you expect, as you see in this story.

“After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.” (John 9:6, NIV)

His ways are the best and his power is above it all. He will always come through: Jesus can do a miracle for you.

John 9:6

4. Jesus Brings a Dead Girl Back

Jesus’ miracles in the Bible include him bringing back multiple people from the dead. You can read one of these miracles in Mark 5:21-43, when he brings back to life a young girl. He knew the pain and hurt and heard the crying of those who lost her.

“When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly.” (Mark 5:38, NIV)

He hears your cries, too, and knows your pain. He will work things out for you. His power is great and he will not forsake you—whatever he does is good for you. Trust he can do the impossible, like in this miracle. He will not leave you that way; he will comfort you, too.

5. Jesus Heals a Woman

If you have been suffering for a while now, and praying for some time, remember this miracle by Jesus in Luke 13:10-17. Jesus healed a woman who was crippled for eighteen years.

“When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, ‘Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.’ Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.” (Luke 13:12-13, NIV)

It might take time for Jesus to do a miracle for you, but don’t give up hope. His timing is perfect: trust it. Remember this miracle to stand strong that he can do it no matter how many years you’ve been believing and praying. Don’t give up.
